More than a decade after the 'gates' created connecting worlds, awakening 'hunters' with superpowers, the weakest hunter Sung Jinwoo encounters a dual prison and accepts a mysterious quest, becoming the only one who can level up, changing his fate. A-1 Pictures has delivered again with Solo Leveling: Awakening. The fight scenes are breathtaking, and the seamless transition from Season 1 to Season 2 is perfectly executed. The animation quality is on another level, and the character designs are stunning. Combined with the excellent sound design and impressive Japanese voice cast, it’s hard to imagine a better performance. I honestly thought they wouldn’t have handled the Season 1 synopsis as well as they did, but they exceeded all expectations. This movie builds up the hype for Season 2 and I’m so glad I got to experience it – it truly is a masterpiece.
