Generally, a landowner’s job is to negotiate and finalize agreements with landowners who own mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent, essentially managing and leasing the land so they can drill for oil and gas. Like the foreman of a construction site, they assemble roads, housing for workers (man-camp), excavators and dig wells especially in remote locations.

A very good start to two episodes!

Things happen to them!

I saw Jacob Lofland (Cooper Norris) and he was 'reasonable' Ali Larter (Angela Norris) as Tommy’s ex-wife and Michelle Randolph (Ainsley Norris) as Tommy’s daughter are insufferable and already I’m hoping really bad. The company that owns and Tommy’s character Jon Hamm (Monty Miller) is the boss may represent my hopeful-necessary fears for this burgeoning series.

Big Leaf: Good!If that happens, I’ll change my rating and walk away!

Succinctly stated, I’m afraid creator/writer Taylor Sheridan will go for the bumper-sticker mentality and let the series down: Big Oil: Bad!
