Neither protest nor force can touch it. Facts that contradict personal prejudices can simply be disbelieved – indeed, a fool can counter them by criticizing them, and if they are undeniable, they can simply be dismissed as trivial exceptions..

Previous biopics have chronicled Bonhoeffer’s life and legacy

Rich cinematography tells Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s compelling story of faith in the face of the immense evil of Nazism. However, this Angel Studios release most clearly grapples with the interpersonal struggles of living out one’s faith when even the church capitulates to mass delusion.

I give it 9 out of 10 stars for its fortuitous juxtaposition of historical events

This film is not a light hagiography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, but an honest portrayal of his humanity as he and his circle of pastors struggle to craft their beliefs and ethics. Highly recommended!
