The Harvey sisters are bound together by the death of their parents and a promise to always protect each other. Sharon Horgan (Eva) is the sister of former Irish rugby player Shane Horgan. Eve Hewson (Becca) is the daughter of U2’s Bono.

Brian Gleeson (Thomas) is the son of actor Brendan Gleeson and brother of actor Domhnell Gleeson. Bad Sisters is brilliantly executed in every detail, starting with its incredibly good script. But it also excels technically, with a great score and cinematography, coupled with some really good locations.
So we all end up disagreeing – brilliant!
The ensemble is fantastic, clearly having a lot of fun with their material and providing plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, but quite capable of the pathos required for a show of this nature. Bad Sisters is a true black comedy in every sense of the word – but a nice one – with a rich vein of Irish humor that comes to the fore and makes us follow the fate of the Sisters. So even though the girls are up to no good, the question always remains – “are they really like that?” – because we identify with their situation and the judgments they form.
I’m rooting for the Sisters!
If you are an overly sensitive man, i.e. you don’t like it when the worst aspects of male behavior are exposed and punished accordingly, … then you really need to watch this show and tone down your sensitivity, it will serve you well and give you some insight into how everyone stays away from selfish male rudeness.
